Roger & Judy Dilmore of Auburn Create Library Endowment Fund at Clarkson University
POTSDAM, NY (05/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Clarkson University alumnus Roger H. Dilmore and his wife, Judy M. Dilmore, of Auburn, N.Y., have provided a generous gift to create the Dilmore-Hartwell Family Library Endowment Fund at Clarkson University.
The Dilmores have dedicated the endowment "in loving memory of Roger's grandparents, Harlow H. and Sara C. Hartwell, and Edward K. and Laura E. Dilmore, and his parents, John E. and Helen H. Dilmore."
"Judy and I credit our success to the support of a strong family who taught us to live and learn by example, with pride and humility, strength and compassion, honor and patriotism," said Roger Dilmore.
The Dilmores established the endowment fund to support Clarkson's Harriett Call Burnap Memorial Library.
"We are grateful for the support of Mr. and Mrs. Dilmore and look forward to utilizing their generosity to enhance the library at Clarkson for years to come," said Michelle L. Young, director of the Clarkson Libraries.
Roger and Judy Dilmore have been steadfast in their lifelong support of Clarkson.
Roger, who graduated from Clarkson in 1968 with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering, has served as his class reunion activity chair, an alumni admission volunteer, and a member of the Alumni Council. As an undergraduate, he was a founding member of the Clarkson University Pep Band in 1964.
The Dilmores are the parents of Clarkson graduates Maj. Jonathan Dilmore '97 and Gregory Dilmore '00.
