Michael S. Jaillet Receives Alumni Award from his alma mater Saint Anselm College

MANCHESTER, NH (12/02/2013)(readMedia)-- Round Rock resident Michael S. Jaillet was one of five recipients to receive an Alumni Association Award from his alma mater, Saint Anselm College on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Jaillet of the class of 1991, received the Humanitarian Award for his non-profit organization MJ's Army, which he created after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Jaillet and MJ's Army work to raise funds and awareness for ALS.

To date, MJ's Army has raised over $200,000 in funds for the ALS Association and its Texas Chapter, as well as the ALS Therapy Development Institute. In addition to fundraising, MJ's Army helps those dealing with ALS. Jaillet's constant care to helping those with ALS demonstrates his humanitarianism and generosity in helping others.

In June 2012, Jaillet sang the National Anthem at at Fenway Park in Boston, Mass. as part of the Red Sox ALS Night to raise awareness of the disease. Read the story and see the clip on the college's blog >>
