Ryan Burke of Centerburg wins second place at Muskingum University's Bradford Colloquium
NEW CONCORD, OH (04/28/2014)(readMedia)-- Ryan Burke of Centerburg won second place for his senior research presentation at Muskingum University's James Bradford Colloquium, held April 21 on the campus in New Concord, Ohio.
Ryan won second place for his presentation titled, A Population Estimation of White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus Virginianus) at The Wilds, Using the Sight Distance Method. He represented the Department of Biology and his faculty advisor is Dr. Danny Ingold, the Homer A. Anderson Distinguished Professor in the Natural Sciences.
The James Bradford Colloquium, named for one of the university's physics faculty, is made up presentations of research conducted by seniors in the Science Division. It is conducted in a manner similar to a scientific conference, and the time allotted to each presenter for both a presentations and a question and answer session are strictly controlled. Winners are chosen by a vote of the faculty.
