SUNY Delhi Alumni Council Presents Alumni Weekend 2014

DELHI, NY (06/03/2014)(readMedia)-- The SUNY Delhi Alumni Weekend, Friday, June 6 – Sunday, June 8, will feature activities for all ages, including a magic show, guided tours, Brooks' BBQ, and award ceremonies to recognize outstanding Delhi alumni.

Friday, June 6, will feature an alumni golf outing at The College Golf Course at Delhi followed by a Brooks' BBQ dinner with a DJ and dancing under the tent in the college's Agora.

A full day of activities Saturday, June 7, will include the Kappa Sigma Epsilon breakfast meeting, a wine pairing presentation by Delhi culinary arts instructor Victor Sommo, and a performance by the world's foremost mind reader, Robert Channing. A tailgate party with field games, old-fashioned photo sessions, and campus tours will add to the fun.

SUNY Delhi stand-out athletes will be inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame at 3 p.m., June 7, in the Clark Field House. Inductees include the 1963-64 men's soccer team, Jestina McPherson Dawson '04 (cross country-track and field), Garrett Keith '84 (wrestling), and Stuart Silverstein '72 (outstanding supporter).

Saturday's festivities will culminate with a semi-formal evening of good food and socializing at 5 p.m. A special dedication of the Farrell Student Activities Suite will be held in honor of retired Student Activities Director Marty Greenfield followed by the Alumni Awards dinner. Alumni celebrating milestone anniversaries will be recognized along with Distinguished Alumnus Thomas Leahy '93, Alumna of Merit Alissa Gearhart '01, Alumnus of Merit Adam J. Davis '11, and Exemplary Service Award recipient Marty Greenfield.

The SUNY Delhi Alumni Weekend will conclude on Sunday with a farewell breakfast buffet in MacDonald Hall dining center from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
