SUNY Delhi Athletics Names New Head Coaches

DELHI, NY (08/06/2015)(readMedia)-- The SUNY Delhi Athletic Department has named two new coaches, Zachary Thomsen and Vicki Andruszkiewicz.

Thomsen will lead the Broncos men's basketball team, which finished the 2014-15 year with an overall record of 18-12.

Thomsen comes to SUNY Delhi from Shepherd University, West Virginia, where he served as assistant men's basketball coach. He holds a master's degree from Le Moyne College and bachelor's degree from West Virginia University Institute of Technology. At West Virginia University, Thomsen was a team captain in his senior year and earned Mid-South Academic All-Conference honors. Thomsen played high school basketball at Unadilla Valley Central School in New Berlin.

Andruszkiewicz will lead the Broncos women's basketball team, which finished the 2014-15 year with an overall record of 12-17, and the Bronco women's softball team, which finished 6 – 18.

Andruszkiewicz comes to SUNY Delhi from Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she served as the assistant women's basketball coach for the past two years. She holds a master's degree from Florida State University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. At UMass Dartmouth, Andruszkiewicz competed four years in softball and basketball. In softball, she was the starting shortstop all four years and team captain in her junior and senior years. In basketball, Andruszkiewicz was team captain her senior year. She was also recognized as an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Scholar Athlete in her senior year.
