SUNY Delhi Construction Management Program Receives Reaccreditation
DELHI, NY (11/11/2009)(readMedia)-- The Board of Trustees of the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) recently announced the renewal of accreditation of SUNY Delhi's Construction Technology program.
Delhi's Construction Technology program has maintained the stringent standards of ACCE, and has proven to the Board, through a visiting team of its peers and industry practitioners, that it is worthy of reaccreditation.
"Delhi's Construction Technology program has benefited in many ways from our association with ACCE," said Professor Steve McKeegan, professor of construction technology. "One such benefit is connecting with educators and industry contractors from around the country who can share with us their best practices."
SUNY Delhi's Construction Technology is a hands-on construction management program that focuses on the technical aspects of commercial, heavy/civil and residential construction. Graduates of the program receive an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S). Upon receiving an A.A.S. in Construction Technology, students may apply for admission to Delhi's Construction Management option. This option is under Delhi's Bachelor of Technology in Architectural Design and Building.
The American Council for Construction Education was established in 1974 to be a leading global advocate of quality construction education, and to promote, support, and accredit quality construction education programs around the world. ACCE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the accrediting agency for four-year baccalaureate degree programs in Construction, Construction Science, Construction Management and Construction Technology, and the accrediting agency for two-year associate degree programs of a similar nature.
