SUNY Delhi's new BBA allows working adults to further their education.

DELHI, NY (02/21/2015)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi has launched a new pathway in online learning for hospitality graduates looking to take the next step, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management (BBA).

This new BBA joins the growing list of degrees SUNY Delhi offers on the web. According to Dr. David Brower '00, Assistant Provost and Hospitality Management Department Chair, it's the only degree of its type offered within the State University. "It's ideal for those who are mid-career professionals in the hospitality industry who are seeking opportunities for advancement," Dr. Brower says.

The program has a fast track option and can be completed in less than two years if students already hold an associate degree and take advantage of classes offered in the January term and during the summer. "Early completion is very attractive to students. That's why we offer flexibility in scheduling classes. We understand that working adults have unique life demands," says Dr. Brower. "This flexibility coupled with an incredible supportive environment for adult learners is what sets Delhi apart as a leader in online education."

This is the second year SUNY Delhi has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a national leader in online baccalaureate education. The college is ranked among the top 20 Best Online Bachelor's Programs in the nation based on student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, and student services and technology. SUNY Delhi was also named one of the Top 30 Technologically Savvy Online Schools in the U.S. by OnlineSchoolsCenter.com. Delhi's online education has been recognized for excellence and affordability by GetEducated.com and TopCriminalJusticeDegrees.org.

Online learning is part of the college's smart growth strategy, helping increase the college's enrollment by nearly 25 percent since the launch of its first online baccalaureate degree, the RN to BSN, in 2008. The RN to BSN was also one of the first programs featured by the State University of New York through its Open SUNY online initiative.

Last year, the college introduced an online Master of Science in Nursing Education, the college's first graduate program, and an online baccalaureate degree program in Criminal Justice, the first degree of its type to be introduced within SUNY. The college also offers summer school courses on the web that serve over 1,000 students annually.
