SUNY Delhi Golf Education Tournament Raises over $25,000 in Support of Students
DELHI, NY (06/22/2011)(readMedia)-- The 18th Annual SUNY Delhi Golf Education Tournament drew 37 teams and raised over $25,000 at The College Golf Course at Delhi on June 20. Friends of CADI Team 2, Barbara Lance, Joshua Lance, Chris Kilmer and Bill Drake, won the tournament with the low net score of 30.
Chris McGrath of Binghamton won a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze after making a hole in one at the tournament. The Chevrolet Cruze was sponsored by Country Club Automotive Group of Oneonta.
The Golf Education Tournament supports internships and summer work experience for students pursuing Business and Professional Golf Management, Golf Course Superintendent and Golf Course Operations majors at SUNY Delhi. It also supports the Larry Laoretti Scholarship for Business and Professional Golf Management students.
SUNY Delhi's golf programs offer hands-on experience through approved national or international internship opportunities. SUNY Delhi is one of only two colleges in the United States with a four-year degree in golf course management and utilizes its own golf course for laboratory instruction.
