SUNY Delhi Launches Virtual Campus Tour

DELHI, NY (03/04/2014)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi has launched a new virtual tour for prospective students and visitors. The tour features 17 stops with additional photos and videos that offer a comprehensive snapshot of the college campus. Delhi's virtual tour can be found on the college's home page at www.delhi.edu.

The tour was created during the summer of 2013 and will be updated annually to capture the ongoing improvements to the Delhi campus. Prospective students received the tour link via e-mail and the link has been embedded on SUNY Delhi's web site and distributed through social media channels.

"The tour was developed in partnership with YouVisit to increase the college's outreach," says Tara Winter, assistant vice president for enrollment management at SUNY Delhi. "There are many students for whom a campus visit may be cost-prohibitive and this widens the college's outreach beyond traditional recruitment borders."

To facilitate Delhi's international recruitment efforts, the tour is also available in Spanish, Japanese and Chinese. A mobile-friendly version is available for most smart phones, which is GPS-powered. This allows visitors to use the hand-held tool as a self-guided tour while on campus. The mobile-friendly version also links to college press releases and updates.

YouVisit.com offers a visual guide to higher education through virtual guided walking tours of colleges worldwide, including Yale University, U.S. Military Academy West Point, Ohio State University, Syracuse University and North-West University in Africa. YouVisit's virtual campus visits feature realistic online walking tours with interactive media, video content and 360-degree panoramic views.
