SUNY Delhi Recognizes Jaci Bettiol with Part-Time Teaching Award

DELHI, NY (05/14/2013)(readMedia)--  SUNY Delhi will recognize Jaci Bettiol with the fourth annual Dennis Callas Part-Time Teaching Award which honors outstanding adjunct faculty. Bettiol will be formally presented with the award by President Candace S. Vancko at the college's Employee Appreciation Day ceremony on June 5.

Bettiol has taught Introduction to Computer Software and Business Communication at SUNY Delhi since 2005. She has developed online versions and components of both courses and has taken the lead in developing assessment measures for Business Communication. She is an effective and engaging teacher who takes time to give her students thoughtful feedback and support.

According to Bonnie Martin, vice president for operations, "Jaci is among our outstanding faculty because of her superior teaching and her willingness to volunteer her time to help others and contribute to the campus community."

Bettoil has helped the college develop curriculum for its Business and Technology Management three-year degree. For several years, she has participated in the panel discussion for new employees and has served as a judge in the SkillsUSA customer service competition.
