SUNY Delhi Scores Well on State University Report Card
DELHI, NY (04/12/2013)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi scored well on the State University's Report Card, which evaluates and tracks the system's progress across a spectrum of critical areas.
SUNY Delhi exceeded the State University's student success rate for first-time, full time students according to the report by the State University's Office of Institutional Research and Analysis. The student success rate is defined by the percentage of first-time, full-time students who either graduate or transfer to continue their studies at Delhi.
SUNY Delhi exceeded the State University's student success average for both associate's and bachelor's degree students for the 2010-11 year. The State University Report Card also reflected nearly 500 internships and cooperative education opportunities for SUNY Delhi students and over 1,000 online course selections offered at the college.
"The SUNY Report Card allows us to track the success of our students and provides additional data that underscores the opportunity and value provided to our students," said SUNY Delhi Provost John S. Nader. "We take pride in these results."
SUNY Delhi's student-faculty ratio is lower than the State University operated campus average. To date, several of the college's niche programs are filled to capacity as applications roll in for the fall semester.
SUNY Delhi ranked No. 32 on the Top Regional Colleges list for 2013 by U.S. News and World Report, the college's highest position to date. This is the sixth consecutive year that SUNY Delhi has been ranked by this prestigious publication.
SUNY Delhi is a member of the State University of New York, the largest comprehensive university system in the U.S. Delhi's seamless approach to education includes over 60 academic programs, leading to one-year certificates, two-year associate degrees and bachelor's degrees in select program areas at Delhi.
