DELHI, NY (01/29/2011)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi achieved a student success rate of 88.6 percent for its four-year programs and 75.2 percent for its two-year programs according to a recent report by the State University's Office of Institutional Research and Analysis.
The student success rate is defined by the percentage of first-time, full-time students who either graduate or transfer to continue their studies at Delhi.
"SUNY Delhi has earned a solid reputation by focusing on academic excellence, innovation, and hands-on experience," said SUNY Delhi Provost John S. Nader. "The college has focused on boosting retention rates and selectivity more recently and these efforts are producing results."
The U.S. News and World Report College Guide has ranked SUNY Delhi among the Top 50 baccalaureate colleges in the United States for three consecutive years. Delhi is ranked in SUNY's Top 10 for quality of instruction, academic advising, advising and mentoring relationships with faculty and staff, and acquiring the knowledge and skills needed for a career according to the 2009 SUNY student opinion survey.
SUNY Delhi enrollment has been on the rise for the last five years with a record number of 3,331 students enrolled this fall, the highest total in college history. The previous all-time high of 3,183 students was set in Fall 2009.
Applications to SUNY Delhi have increased by more than 65 percent over the last five years with a record level of more than 6,556 students applying for enrollment in Fall 2010.
