SUNY Delhi Student Restaurant Signatures Offers Unique Dining Possibilities
DELHI, NY (10/15/2009)(readMedia)-- Enjoy an unparalleled dining experience in Delaware County at Signatures on the SUNY Delhi campus. The student-operated restaurant is open for the fall semester, serving lunch and dinner.
Signatures by Daylight offers daily specials from 10:30 a.m.1 p.m. in Alumni Hall on October 15, 20, 22, 27, 29, November 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, and December 1, 3. A holiday buffet is offered December 8 and 10.
Signatures by Candlelight offers elegant gourmet dinners prepared by SUNY Delhi's award-winning culinary students Friday evenings 5:30 p.m.7 p.m. in Alumni Hall on October 16, 23, 30, November 13, 20, and December 4; the restaurant's Italian Panarda is offered on December 11. Guests will enjoy a four-course menu that includes selections from Classical French Repertoire, Global Influences and American Regional Cuisine. Preview weekly menus in advance by visiting www.delhi.edu/signatures. Prix Fixe is $28 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Wine pairings available for an additional charge.
The Signatures restaurant teaches Delhi students menu preparation, food purchasing, front-of-house management controls, elements of proper table service, and basic food preparation. Students learn to operate a restaurant in a practical hands-on experience, working in the college's contemporary conference center and its fully-equipped professional kitchen. All Signatures meals are prepared by SUNY Delhi's Culinary Arts students.
Delhi's Culinary Arts program is the most decorated in New York State. The college's hot food team has won nine consecutive American Culinary Federation State Championships and four ACF Northeast Region Championships.
The Signatures restaurant is located on the second floor of the Alumni Hall Hospitality Center on the SUNY Delhi campus. Parking is available at the rear of Alumni Hall.
