SUNY Delhi's Golf/Turfgrass Programs Receive Continued Support from Industry
DELHI, NY (11/17/2009)(readMedia)-- The Adirondack Golf Course Superintendents of America have stepped forward to support program enhancement and educational opportunities at SUNY Delhi with a recent donation of $500.
Dominic Morales, Dean of Applied Sciences and Recreation at SUNY Delhi, said "Thanks to the Adirondack GCSA, Delhi has become a leader in training future golf course and turf management employees. The association's vision and commitment to support education and applied research in turf management is commendable."
SUNY Delhi offers a unique opportunity for hands-on education and experience in golf course operations, turf management, landscape contracting, general horticulture, and park and recreation programs. Utilizing its own golf course for laboratory instruction, SUNY Delhi is one of only two colleges in the United States with a four-year degree in golf course management.
