SUNY Potsdam Athletic Department Hosts Family Day at Maxcy Hall

SUNY Potsdam Bears Athletics Invites Community for Family Day on Dec. 13, with Swim Time, Open Skate and Activities

POTSDAM, NY (12/04/2014)(readMedia)-- The SUNY Potsdam Department of Athletics will open Maxcy Hall for a Family Day event on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Together with their caregivers, children can engage in interactive play, get some exercise and have wintertime fun. Members of the Bears Women's Lacrosse team, along with other SUNY Potsdam athletes, will host families and lead activities throughout the afternoon.

Activities will include open skate hours in the newly renovated Bears Ice Arena from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by open swim time at the Maxcy Pool from 3 to 5 p.m., as well as organized games throughout the day in the Field House.

Children will be able to burn off steam with activities such as kickball, knockout, basketball, relay races, a cannonball contest and wintertime arts and crafts. Concessions will open at 4 p.m.

The entry fee is $5 per person, and anyone wishing to stay for the 5 p.m. Women's Ice Hockey game against New England College may attend the game free of charge.
