POTSDAM, NY (04/27/2015)(readMedia)-- Memories were made at the SUNY Potsdam Child Care Center's annual Family Fun Night on Thursday, April 16. This free event is held annually to show appreciation to the center's patrons.

Several stations were available for the children to explore their creativity and produce their own works of art to take home. Stations included a weaving wall, a doodle wall, a sculpting station, painting station and jewelry making. A music station was also available for the children to try their hand at the drums, guitar, maracas and dancing.

Local author and SUNY Potsdam Dean Emeritus Glenn Guiles was on hand for the event. His book, "A Hug for Harriet," brings to life the endearing character Harriet, the youngest and smallest miniature donkey in a large herd, and her desire for her human friends' affection. Guiles generously signed copies of his book for the children in attendance.

The SUNY Potsdam Child Care Center is a fully licensed, center-based childcare facility serving children of SUNY Potsdam faculty, staff and students, as well as the community at large. For more information, visit www.potsdam.edu/faculty/spccc.
