SUNY Potsdam Professor to Speak about Fulbright Experience in the Philippines

2014-15 Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar Series Opens at SUNY Potsdam with Talk on Sept. 10

POTSDAM, NY (08/28/2014)(readMedia)-- SUNY Potsdam Professor of Business Administration Dr. Edwin J. Portugal will open the 2014-15 Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar Series with a presentation at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 10 in Satterlee Hall Room 300.

Portugal's presentation will focus on "the agonies and the ecstasies" of being a Fulbright Specialist in the Philippines, where he has taught at the University of the Philippines and the Asian Institute of Management. Portugal will share the problems, challenges and exasperations he faced, as well as the rewards, pleasant surprises and unplanned accomplishments that resulted.

The Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar is sponsored by SUNY Potsdam's School of Education and Professional Studies. Over the last seven years, the School has hosted more than 60 presenters through the series.

All seminar meetings will be offered on Wednesdays, in Satterlee 300 from noon to 1 p.m. These events are free, and the public is welcome to attend.
