Saint Joseph's College recognizes Emily Marshall of Gorham to the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society

STANDISH, ME (10/04/2010)(readMedia)-- Emily Marshall of Gorham was recently inducted as a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society at Saint Joseph's College is a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications concentrating in public relations with a minor in business at Saint Joseph's College of Maine. Emily is a Camp Sunshine volunteer and has volunteered for an international service trip to Guatemala during winter break.

Delta Epsilon Sigma, a national scholastic honor society for students of Catholic colleges and universities, has been represented at Saint Joseph's College since 1950 by the Beta Omicron Chapter. Membership in Delta Epsilon Sigma is based on leadership, service, superior achievement in the student's academic program, 3.5 average or better based on a minimum of 63 semester-hour credits of Saint Joseph's College courses only, and the student's indications of future creditable use of that achievement in bringing the principles of a sound Christian philosophy to bear effectively upon the problems of a modern free society.

Saint Joseph's College of Maine is a Catholic liberal arts college located on Sebago Lake in Standish, Maine. The college has an undergraduate enrollment of 1,000 students and offers 30 academic majors. www.sjcme.edu
