Saint Rose Students Organize Fundraiser for Kids with Cleft Lip, Palate at Albany Med

The National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) at The College of Saint Rose, Albany, New York, helped raise money for the Albany Medical Center Craniofacial Surgical Team with a "Just Keep Smiling" event on November 18. The Disney-themed fundraiser included an Italian dinner, carnival games, raffles and a presentation from Albany Medical Center's speech pathologist and Jackie Klein, clinical director at Saint Rose.

Students Erin McDonald, NSSLHA president; Lee Whelihan, NSSLHA vice president; Kayla Kiernan, NSSLHA secretary; and Jordan Eisel, NSSLHA treasurer, led the event along with their faculty advisors Dr. Deirdre Muldoon and Dr. Dave DeBonis. The event raised more than $750 for three surgeries for children with cleft lip and/or palate.
