Historian Ira Berlin to Speak at Annual Salameno Lecture Sept. 17

EASTON, MA (09/11/2009)(readMedia)-- Award-winning author and groundbreaking historian of African American life in the 19th century, Ira Berlin will deliver the annual Lawrence and Theresa Salameno History Lecture address on Thursday, September 17 at 4 p.m. in the Martin Institute. His presentation entitled "Barack Obama and the Remaking of Black America," will explore the significance of President Obama's election on African-American history.
