Salina Kidane of Lanham Awarded Donny and Cathy Bryan Endowed Scholarship

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (12/12/2013)(readMedia)--  Salina Kidane, a Lanham, Md. native and first year student at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the Donny and Cathy Bryan Endowed Scholarship. Established in 2013 by Cathy and Donny Bryan '73, the scholarship benefits students who have financial need.

At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Kidane is studying anthropology, psychology and Spanish. She plans to attend graduate school.

Outside of the classroom, Kidane is a DeSousa-Brent Scholar and is involved in the Black Student Union, Raices Hispañas Club, Rotaract, and Circle K Club.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
