ASHLAND, OH (10/24/2012)(readMedia)-- Samantha Arlesic of Richmond Heights, OH is a new inductee of the Schar Scholars at Ashland University.

Arlesic is majoring in intervention specialist, early childhood education. She is the daughter of Richard Arlesic and Ava Krutko. Arlesic is a 2012 graduate of Richmond Heights High School.

On Thursday October 18, 2012 Arlesic attended an induction ceremony and meet and greet in the Ronk Lecture Hall of the Dwight Schar College of Education building with faculty, staff, and current members of Schar Scholars.

The purpose of the Schar Scholars program is to provide an enriched academic environment for a select group of students interested in studying education. Students in the program benefit from personalized attention at all levels of the Dwight Schar College of Education. In addition, students benefit from student teaching experiences, as well as numerous networking opportunities.
