Samuel Uwahemo, Jr. of Lanham Awarded Roberts Family Financial Aid Endowment Scholarship

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (01/06/2014)(readMedia)--  Samuel Uwahemo, Jr., a Lanham, Md., native and senior at St. Mary's College of Maryland, was recently awarded the Roberts Family Financial Aid Endowment.

At St. Mary's College of Maryland, Uwahemo is studying public policy. He will attend graduate school and aims to research in analysis for policy work.

Outside of the classroom, Uwahemo is involved in Rugby Club and Drum Corps. He is also interested in creative writing and leadership campaign projects in Washington, D.C.

St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
