San Diego's Jack Barry named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week

AURORA, IL (04/07/2014)(readMedia)-- Aurora University senior Jack Barry (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Bernardo H.S.) was named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 6, 2014.

Barry led AU to a 2-0 week with a 6-4 win over Carthage College and a 9-4 win over Whittier College. He anchored the defense in the win over previously MLC unbeaten Carthage, netting one goal with six ground balls and three caused turnovers. He then added two goals, two assists, five ground balls and two caused turnovers in the non-conference win over Whittier.

Next action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team, 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the MLC, comes on Wednesday, April 9 when they host Concordia University Wisconsin. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. on Vago Field.
