San Diego's Nicci Bermudes named NACC Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, IL (10/22/2013)(readMedia)-- Aurora University sophomore forward Nicci Bermudes (San Diego, Calif./University City H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time.

Berrmudes netted three goals for the Spartans on the week as AU picked up wins over Milwaukee School of Engineering (2-1 in overtime) and Marian University (2-1 in overtime). She recorded both goals against MSOE, including the game winning goal, and had the first goal for the Spartans in the win over Marian.

On the season, Bermudes leads the AU offense with 15 goals, five being game-winning goals, and 11 assists. AU is currently ranked No. 19 by D3soccer.com with a 13-2 overall record and 8-1 in the NACC.

Next action for the Spartan women's soccer team comes on Friday, October 25, 2013 when they host Wisconsin Lutheran College. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. on Vago Field.
