San Juan Capistrano Native, Kyle Catino Named All-American by the ACWPC

WHITTER, CA (07/09/2012)(readMedia)-- Kyle Catino was named an All-American and given Honrable Mention by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC)
Catino, who is a freshman from San Juan Capistrano, Calif. came in in his first season with the Poets to have a stellar season finishing with 31 goals on 58 attempts, while collecting 8 assists, 19 drawn ejections, and 28 steals.
In addition, Catino was named to the 2011 Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) All- Academic Team.
The team consists of members who carried a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), played in at least 50-percent of the team's contests in the sports respective season and was classified as a full-time student who has completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at his institution.
A consummate achiever, Catino was also named to the Spring 2012 Deans List. Undergraduate student are awarded Dean's List honors if he or she earns a 3.70 grade point average (GPA) while completing a full-time course load (12 units) in the fall and spring terms.
