Saturday Grandstand Acts Announced for the Iowa State Fair

DES MOINES, IA (05/21/2018) (readMedia)-- The wait is over, the Iowa State Fair is thrilled to announce both Saturday Grandstand acts for 2018. On Saturday, August 11, Daughtry will rock the newly renovated Grandstand with popular hits "It's Not Over" and "Over You." Peter Cetera with special guest Blood, Sweat & Tears featuring Bo Bice will take the stage on Saturday, August 18 with popular hits "Glory of Love" and "I Wanna Take Forever Tonight." Tickets for both concerts go on sale Friday, May 25, at 10:00 am.

Daughtry and Peter Cetera join the already announced Grandstand Acts: Casting Crowns (August 9), Reba (August 10), Old Dominion (August 12), Jim Gaffigan (August 14), Thomas Rhett (August 15), Earth, Wind & Fire (August 16), Sugarland (August 17) and Florida Georgia Line (August 19). One act is yet to be announced. Due to construction, the tractor and truck pull is cancelled in 2018.

The Iowa State Fair Grandstand area is undergoing renovations for 2018, although the historic Grandstand structure will remain intact. Thanks to a generous $1 million donation from Kyle and Sharon Krause, and Kum & Go, the Blue Ribbon Foundation is able to improve the Grandstand stage. Fair fans will enjoy renovations this year including 4,000 more seats, new restrooms, and the newly named Kum & Go stage.
