Iowa State Fair Ticket Office Opens Today
DES MOINES, IA (07/06/2021) (readMedia)-- "Nothing Compares" to affordable family fun at the Iowa State Fair, August 12- 22. Plan ahead and save money on admission tickets, attractions, rides and food. The Iowa State Fair Ticket Office located on the front porch of the Administration Building on the Fairgrounds opens today and is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays for walk up orders only. Fair products are available while supplies last.
Enjoy all the Fair has to offer at a $5 discount. The advanced admission offer is the lowest admission price available and must be purchased before opening day, August 12.
- Adult advanced admission tickets: $9 (ages 12 and older; $14 at the gate)
- Children's advanced admission tickets: $5 (ages 6-11; $8 at the gate)
- Children ages 5 and under are admitted free every day
Adult and children's advanced admission tickets are available at the Iowa State Fair Ticket Office and online at iowastatefair.org. Tickets may also be purchased at participating Iowa Hy-Vee, Hy-Vee Drugstores and Dollar Fresh stores, Iowa Fareways, and participating Des Moines metro Cash Saver and Price Chopper stores (without fees).

Save money on rides at the Fair by purchasing your discounted wristbands:
- Unlimited ($36) includes reloadable wristband
- Good for 1 day of unlimited rides Monday-Thursday until 10 p.m. in Thrill Town and Thrill Ville (does not include games, but credits can be added for games)
- Advanced ($25) includes reloadable wristband
- 35 credits - Good any day of the Fair on any ride or game in Thrill Town and Thrill Ville
Hungry? Food tickets can be purchased in packs of five for $5, and each food ticket is good for $1 toward food or beverage purchase on the Fairgrounds. You can only get food tickets at the Iowa State Fair Ticket Office through August 11, while supplies last. Food tickets are not available online.
