Science Grant Awarded to Local Student

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - (08/26/2013)(readMedia)-- The South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Student-Faculty Research Program has awarded a grant to Coker College student Jasmine Bodison, from Sumter, S.C., working with Valeria Avanzato, assistant professor of biology. Bodison and Avanzato received the grant for their project titled "Identification and Characterization of Pythium Species Associated with Cotton Field Soil in South Carolina."
