Seven From Trevecca Volleyball All G-MAC, Kristen Johnson POY
NASHVILLE, TN (11/19/2012)(readMedia)-- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced its 2012 All-Conference Volleyball team and Trevecca placed seven players on the team including Kristen Johnson as the player of the year.
Johnson made the first team while Loren Bennett (Freshman Setter), Jenna Robertson (Senior Middle Hitter), Persephonie Devereaux (Junior Middle Hitter) were selected to the second team. Caroline Gay (Freshman Setter), Delaney Hearne (Freshman Right Side Hitter), and Shelby Sorce (Junior Libero) were selected as honorable mention selections.
Kristen Johnson, a 5-9 junior right side hitter from Franklin, Tenn., is the only player to rank in the top team in five of six G-MAC statistical categories. The four-time G-MAC Athlete of the Week posted 15-triple doubles on the season.
The Independence High School graduate ranks fourth in hitting (.252); fourth in kills (3.0), but is second with 387 overall kills; sixth in assists (4.06), seventh in blocks (0.49), and eighth in digs (2.83). Her 0.25 service aces per game are just outside the top-ten, but her 32 service aces overall are better than four of the current top ten.

Trevecca Nazarene University is a Christian liberal arts university located in Nashville, Tenn., Music City, USA.
