Seven on Seven Adult Soccer League New Addition to Healthy Active Offerings

STAUNTON, VA (08/01/2011)(readMedia)-- The Staunton Parks and Recreation Department will be offering 7 on 7 soccer at the Montgomery Hall Soccer Complex. An increased interest in outdoor soccer has prompted yet another league to be operated by Staunton Parks and Recreation. This is the 17th different league implemented this year out of a total of 25 that will be operated in 2011. The department also added Fall Instructional Girls Fast-Pitch Softball as well as a new Youth Flag Football League that begins in the Fall.

The 7 on 7 soccer league will allow for both male and female players. The games will be played at the pitch at Montgomery Hall Park, the only area lighted and irrigated soccer complex. The games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights with a $40 per person fee. Team shirts are included in the fee and the estimated games person season is between 12-15 games(depending on the number of teams). This is a partial sized field soccer to encourage fast paced play..
