MEDIA RELEASE: PADUCAH, KY (10/30/2017) Shannon Vetter is back in Paducah to kick off this year's Backstage Pass series at West Kentucky Community and Technical College's Clemens Fine Arts Center November 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Vetter is a veteran of notable area bands, Gideon's Rifle, Big Atomic, Solid Rock'it Boosters, and now has his own band. Several of Vetter's former groups have previously performed at WKCTC's Backstage Pass and been featured on Murray's WKMS. He also appeared on WKMS' "Live Lunch" last fall featuring his new solo album.
Vetter grew up in Maysville, KY, a small town on the Ohio River. Moving downriver to Louisville for college, he played in various bands before eventually settling farther downriver in Paducah with Gideon's Rifle and Big Atomic. All the while, Vetter was collecting his own songs, and in 2016 recorded his own album with contributions from many Paducah area musicians. He is once again living in Louisville, but returns to Paducah for another appearance on Backstage Pass November 18.
In the Backstage Pass series, audience members sit onstage with the musicians in a listening-room, intimate concert setting and enjoy coffee and desserts as they get an up-close view of the concert.
Buy advance tickets for $8 or $10 at the door. Purchase a season pass and get all three concerts for $15. In 2018, Old Salt Union will play Backstage Pass March 3 and CoopertheBand will round out the series March 31.
