Six Golden Bears named to Women's Soccer Academic All-District Team
Kutztown University women's soccer players Kayla Argen (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East), Bridget Curtis (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South), Sadie Goad (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley), Kylee MacLeod (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), Dana Wentz (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley), and Emme Wolfel (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) were named to the Academic All-District team by College Sports Communicators (CSC), announced by the organization earlier in the week.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom across all four divisions of college athletics.
It's the second time in Argen's career earning the nod, while it's the first time for Curtis, Goad, MacLeod, Wentz, and Wolfel. Argen was also named to the D2CAA All-Atlantic Region First Team and All-PSAC First Team so far this season. Curtis also earned an All-PSAC first team honor, while MacLeod was named to the All-PSAC second team.
The six honorees from the Golden Bears advance to the Academic All-American ballot, where the winners will be released in early December.
