Six SUNY Oneonta Students Put On Nordost Production at Kennedy Center Region I Festival
The SUNY Oneonta Theatre Department's production of "Nordost" was selected to perform at the Kennedy Center Region I Festival (KCACTF) at Cape Cod on Feb. 2. The production featured six SUNY Oneonta students, including one student stage manager and another who oversaw lighting. Kiara Pipino, associate professor of acting, directing and movement, directed "Nordost."
KCACTF honors excellence of overall production and offers student artists individual recognition through awards and scholarships in playwriting, acting, criticism, directing and design.
The KCACTF is a national theater program involving 18,000 students from colleges and universities nationwide which has severed as a catalyst for improving the quality of college theater in the United States. The KCACTF has grown into a network of more than 600 academic institutions throughout the country, where theater departments and student artists showcase their work and receive outside assessment by KCACTF respondents.
