Soccer's Day and Morgan Earn Spots on 2025 All-Atlantic Region First Team
Juniors Maura Day and Corinne Morgan of the Kutztown University women's soccer team each collected 2025 All-Atlantic Region First Team honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) at their respective positions.
It is the highest career honor for each of the two Golden Bear stars, who led the team to success in the regular season and into another strong postseason run.
Day, a First Team midfielder, picked up her first recognition from the organization after a historic season that led her to be named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Year. The junior midfielder led the conference in assists with 10, tied for the third-highest mark in program history. Day was the engine behind Kutztown's attack, pacing the team as the bridge between the team's strong defense and its potent offense.
Morgan, a First Team forward, collected her second honor from the D2CCA after being recognized on the second team a season ago. An All-PSAC First Team striker, the Port Republic, N.J., native led the PSAC in both shots (93) and shots on frame (46), scoring a team-high 13 goals that was the seventh-best mark in program history. She was the leader of an offensive attack was among the top offensive units in the conference.
Elle Smith of Indiana (Pa.) was named the Player of the Year in the Atlantic Region, while Kutztown is one of just seven schools to have multiple players named to the All-Atlantic Region teams.
This marks the fifth season the Maroon and Gold collect at least one All-Atlantic Region First Team honoree, and the 11th year KU has at least one student-athlete recognized on any All-Atlantic Region Team.
The Golden Bears (13-6-1, 9-4-1 PSAC East) concluded its season with double digit victories for the 23rd consecutive season, while finishing the regular season with an undefeated, 2-0 non-conference record and a three-game winning streak. Kutztown looks forward to returning both Day and Morgan for their senior seasons as it looks to make another deep run in the postseason in 2026.
