ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (10/15/2014)(readMedia)-- On a milestone birthday, confirmed single man Robert contemplates his unmarried state. Over a series of dinners, drinks and even a wedding, his married friends share what they deem as the pros-and cons-of being wed, often doing the opposite of what they say. At the same time, a bewildering array of interactions with girlfriends leads Robert to wonder whether his friends are right.

Elizabethtown College Theatre presents "Company," a seven-time Tony Award winning production with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The complex, comedic musical looks honestly at relationships; audience members will see reflections of themselves in at least one of the characters. The show's energetic score contains many of Sondheim's best known songs -- "Another Hundred People," "Side by Side by Side," "Sorry – Grateful" and "Being Alive."

"Company" takes the Tempest Theatre stage at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30; Friday, Oct. 31; Saturday, Nov. 1; Thursday, Nov. 6; and Friday, Nov. 7; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9.

Tickets are $7. Contact 717-361-1170 or boxoffice@etown.edu.
