South Elgin native Kevin Davis named a first team all-Midwest Conference Selection in Football

Davis ranks second in the conference in receiving yards per game for Lake Forest.

LAKE FOREST, IL (11/17/2011)(readMedia)-- Kevin Davis, a senior wide receiver on the Lake Forest football team, was named a first team all-Midwest Conference selection, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Davis currently ranks second in the conference with 131.7 receiving yards per game and third with eight catches per contest. His 12 total touchdowns on the year are tied-for-seventh in the league. With a game yet to finish, Davis has already set a team record with 1,185 receiving yards on the year, his 72 receptions are just five shy of the most in program history, and his 10 touchdown receptions trail the school record by two.

The Foresters are currently 3-6 and will finish their season at Concordia University Chicago Saturday at 11:30 a.m. It will be a continuiation of a game that began on September 3 but was postponed in the second quarter due to lightning.
