St. Louis' Don Danner elected Chair of Missouri Society of CPAs

AURORA, IL (07/18/2013)(readMedia)-- Don Danner, Assistant Professor of Accounting at Aurora University, has been named Chairman of the Board for the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). Danner began serving his one-year term on July 1, 2013.
Prior to his appointment as Chairman, Danner served in a number of MSCPA leadership positions and on numerous committees, including Finance, Audit, Strategic Planning, Management of an Accounting Practice, CFO Advisory Roundtable, as well as the association's Educational Foundation.
Danner looks forward to sharing his experiences as Chair with his AU students. "The profession is very focused on educating the next generation," said Danner. "In my position, I hope to help shape the skills of our students to the world they will be entering."
The MSCPA is the largest professional association dedicated to advancing CPAs in Missouri. Established in 1909, the MSCPA provides members with continuing education, governmental advocacy, and networking opportunities, while working to further the future of the CPA profession through student-focused initiatives.
