State Aging Director Welcomes Thousands of Seniors at the Great New York State Fair
Announces "Home--But Not Alone" Campaign
ALBANY, NY (08/28/2009)(readMedia)-- Michael J. Burgess, Director of the New York State Office for the Aging, will be on hand to welcome thousands of older New Yorkers as Senior Citizen's Day at the New York State Fair takes place on Tuesday. Director Burgess and staff from the State Office for the Aging will be available to provide information about programs and services that are available for older New Yorkers and unpaid caregivers.

| WHAT: | Provide information and resource material to older New Yorkers attending the Fair on the second of two "senior days." Director Burgess will also announce the "Home--But Not Alone" Campaign that the State Office for the Aging will be launching this fall. He'll also be available to discuss critical issues facing the elderly as the baby boomer generation hits and health care reform in Washington takes shape. |
