State Fair Meat Canning Crown Won by Iowa City Cook

DES MOINES, IA (08/11/2018) (readMedia)-- Rod Zeitler of Iowa City won the Sweepstakes Award in the Canned Savory Sauces, Meats and Poultry competition, judged August 7 prior to the start of the 2018 Iowa State Fair.

Olive Jean Tarbell of Centerville earned the Reserve Sweepstakes award.

Entries were judged on flavor, consistency, appearance, ingredient selection and food safety.
