Statement from NYSERDA President and CEO Paul D. Tonko:

ALBANY, NY (04/25/2008)(readMedia)-- Today, I have informed Governor Paterson that I have tendered my resignation to the NYSERDA board effective immediately. After a long career in state service, I am looking forward to a new challenge.

I wish to thank the Governor, Chairman Vincent DeIorio, and the entire Board of Directors for providing me with the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of public servants who inspired me each and every day. It has been my honor to serve with all of them.

Until the NYSERDA board names my successor, and pursuant to NYSERDA bylaws, Vice President Robert Callender will fulfill the duties and responsibilities of President and CEO.
