Staten Island resident Rena Jordan named coordinator of outreach at TCNJ School of the Arts and Communication

EWING, NJ (01/31/2012)(readMedia)-- The College of New Jersey's School of Arts and Communication announced today that Rena Jordan has joined the college as its Coordinator of Communications and Community Outreach. Rena currently resides with her family on Staten Island. 

"From producing award-winning documentaries to creating one of Princeton Review's Top Ten game design programs in the country, the TCNJ faculty is extraordinary. I am thrilled to be working with such a talented group of arts educators," said Jordan. "I look forward to promoting TCNJ's academic programs as well as our wonderful schedule of performances at the Center for the Arts."

As Coordinator of Communications and Community Outreach, Jordan will be responsible for the School of the Arts' marketing initiatives. Over the course of her career, Rena has worked at a number of non-profit organizations in New Jersey including the Princeton Family YMCA and Eva's Village in Paterson. She joins TCNJ from Staten Island Academy as Director of Communications, where she oversaw institutional branding and messaging, and managed all print and electronic communications.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in strategic communications and fundraising, which will be vital to positioning The Center for the Arts as a leading cultural institution in New Jersey," stated John C. Laughton, Dean of the School of Arts and Communication. "We are confident Rena's background and expertise will complement the existing leadership and faculty."

Jordan graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in American History and attended Princeton University.
