State's Top Housing Official Announces Integration of Housing Agencies

New Efficiencies and Strategies Will Enhance New York's Position as National Leader

ALBANY, NY (09/21/2010)(readMedia)-- Tomorrow, the State's top housing official, Brian Lawlor, will be announcing the details of the consolidation and merger of New York's primary housing agencies into a single organization under a single leadership structure, which will better align and coordinate our housing and community development programs and resources.

He will also be discussing the new organization's investment and business strategies, designed to build new partnerships and increase transparency and accountability.

Lawlor, who serves as both Commissioner of the Division of Housing and Community Renewal and President/CEO of "nyhomes", will make his presentation to stakeholders and partners in the housing and community development industry, elected leaders and officials from City and State Government.

The presentation will be held at "nyhomes" offices -- 641 Lexington Avenue on the 4th floor.
