We will begin taking registrations on April 13th at the administration offices in Montgomery Hall Park. The print version should be delivered via direct mail to all Staunton residences and Stars (current customers) by April 25th.

This brochure is a breakthrough. The visual appeal, the quality and quantity of programs, the quality of instructors, continuity between brochures and theme surpass anything that we have created to date. This is an incredible amount of information organized in a sensational, attention grabbing fashion. The goal of the brochure is to inform all of our city residents about parks and program offerings available with the end game of converting interest into a call to action. This call to action is also know as program registration. In the conversion process we use the table of contents, program titles and program descriptions to build interest and deepen the readers desire to participate.

What's new? The brochure features four new sections; Mature Subject Matter (over 50+), Urban and Rural Survival, Environmental Awareness Platform, and Youth and Teens. We have collaborated with several area organizations to compile a convenient listing of all Bandstand concerts this Summer in Gypsy Hill Park. About 70% of the programs listed in the brochure are new as is the layout. To accommodate the 120 programs, we had to expand to a 24 page layout which is 8 pages more than previous brochures.

Though the brochure is produced by the Staunton Parks and Recreation Department as a whole, the focus of the brochure is 95% on the recreation division. This marketing piece is what all other aspects of our marketing leverage. The community programs contained within the brochure are our identity as a division and should be a reflection of our diverse community. The brochure is the recreation division's Holy Grail while the website (both of them) feature both the parks division as well as the recreation division.
