Strongsville Resident Named Ashland University Valedictorian

ASHLAND, OH (05/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Holly James of Strongsville was named one of three valedictorians at Ashland University's spring commencement ceremony held on May 11.

James as well as Jared Baisden and Angela Ellis, both of Wooster, were all three named valedictorians, and all three achieved perfect 4.00 grade point averages.

James received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Management Information Systems with Summa Cum Laude and Gamma Alpha Kappa honors. She also received a minor in psychology.

James, who is the daughter of Donald and Ronda James, is a 2009 graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School, where she participated in golf and basketball and was a member of the National Honor Society.

While at Ashland University, she has continued to play golf and was named to the 2011 All-GLIAC First Team. She completed an internship with the J.M. Smucker Company in 2011 during which time she completed a project titled "Model Business Process Using ARIS and Oracle BPA Tools."
