AIKEN, SC (07/02/2018) The Ruth Patrick Science Education Center and the DuPont Planetarium on the University of South Carolina Aiken campus offer a variety of programs this summer for student groups.

"Classes are geared towards daycares, summer camps, churches and other organizations looking for an exciting opportunity to engage summer students," said Lizzy Green, Director of Student Programs at RPSEC.

Summer programs are offered Tuesday through Thursday starting in June and ending in early August. Each group must have a minimum of 10 participants with a maximum of 90 per field trip.

"We encourage group leaders to plan for two or three programs per visit and offer both indoor and outdoor spaces for eating lunches," Green said. "Please be reminded we do not provide any meals but are happy to have you picnic on our lawn."

Summer program reservations are scheduled on a first come, first served basis and available spots fill up quickly.
