Student Leaders Serve as USC Aiken's Ambassadors

AIKEN, SC (05/18/2018) The University of South Carolina Aiken Announced the Chancellor Ambassadors for the 2018-2019 school year.

In this role, they will represent the university, the chancellor, and the student body during on-campus and community events. They often interact with elected officials and special guests of USC Aiken.

"The impressive young leaders build goodwill for the university and strengthen relationships between USC Aiken, alumni, prospective students and their families, leaders and members of the community," said Randy Duckett, director of the alumni association.

In addition, the USC Alumni Association Board works closely with Chancellor Ambassadors, mentoring them as they develop these student-volunteers into future alumni leaders.

Chancellor Ambassadors are nominated by campus faculty and staff and must be interviewed by members of the staff, USC Aiken alumni, and former ambassadors before being chosen for this position.

Ambassadors for the 2018-2019 academic year include:

Yasser Alzahrani, senior, math and computer science

Collytte Cederstrom, senior, psychology

Travis Hardee, senior, sociology

Kimberly Jergenson, senior, communication with a minor in political science

Daniela Negrete, senior, biology and fine arts

Q'Ladrin Qourters, sophomore, biology

Q'May Qourters, sophomore, biology

Mikaela Ransom, senior, exercise and sports science

Alex Richardson, senior, secondary education with a concentration in social studies

Allison Swiecki, senior, biology with a concentration in molecular biology

Tiffany Zorn, junior, secondary education
