Student on award-winning team in Gutenberg Award competition
MENOMONIE, WIS. (11/06/2013)(readMedia)-- Ella Noterman of Adams, Minn., was part of an award-winning team at University of Wisconsin-Stout in the Gutenberg Award competition at the annual conference of the International Graphic Arts Education Association held on campus.
In the university and college print category, students in the Graphic Communications Practicum class - Noterman and three other students, who have since graduated - received best of show for Prometheus 2013, the university's creative arts journal of student artwork and creative writing.
Noterman is majoring in cross-media graphics management.
The class was taught by James Tenorio and Bhaskar Gaddam, who teach communications technology.
The Gutenberg contest recognizes exceptional achievement in graphic arts in divisions from college to middle school. Competition is divided into three main categories: print, website and photography.
The annual conference is for educators, professionals and students who, in partnership with industry, are dedicated to graphic communications and imaging technology and are looking for ways to improve graphic arts education.
