Students in McKendree University's Choirs Participate in Fall Choral Invitational Oct. 20

Students in McKendree University's Concert Choir and Chamber Choir participated in McKendree's fifth-annual Fall Choral Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts. This year, the event featured students from Edwardsville High School, Marquette Catholic High School and Mascoutah High School, along with guest composer and conductor Ryan Main.

The McKendree University Chamber Choir performed "Lirum, Lirum" by Thomas Morley, "Wide Open Spaces" by Sarah Quartel and "Singing, Bring Me" by Ryan Main. The McKendree University Concert Choir performed "Inveniam Viam" by Ryan Main, "All Things New" by Elaine Hagenberg and "Verduron." Both choirs were under the direction of Dr. John McDonald, director of choirs, and accompanied by Melissa Ray on piano.
