Students set records at Lake County Track Invitational

Senior Mbasa Mayikana and Junior Nicholas Frystak placed in the top ten for their respective events at the Lake County Track Invitational. Mbasa took 8th place for the long jump with a record of 6.47 meters and broke a 24-year-old school record set in 1990 by alumnus and trustee Zaid Abdul-Aleem. Nicholas was named an All County runner by placing 8th in the 100m dash with 11.41 seconds and 4th place in the 200m dash with 23.06 seconds. Congratulations to our Caxy athletes!
